Cookies & browser storage

Strictly necessary

• halo-session (sessionStorage): your temporary anonymous session token, so a page refresh doesn't lose your place. Cleared when the tab closes.
• halo-theme (localStorage): your light/dark theme choice, if you set one.

Remembered preferences

• halo-remembered-preferences-v1 (localStorage): optional chat details, interests, languages and match filters used to pre-fill the form. It expires after 30 days and can be removed at any time with Forget saved details. It never contains your date of birth, session token or conversations.

Bot protection

When bot protection is active, Cloudflare Turnstile may set its own cookies to distinguish humans from automated traffic. These are controlled by Cloudflare and used only for that purpose.

Advertising

Google AdSense may serve advertising on public information and discovery pages. Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses and device information to deliver, measure and protect ads.

Ads are never loaded on queue, live text or video conversation, or post-conversation screens. Where law requires consent, advertising is controlled through a Google-certified consent platform before personalized advertising or related storage is enabled.

What we don't do

• No cross-site tracking cookies of our own.
• No fingerprinting for advertising purposes.
• No storage of conversation content in your browser beyond the current chat view.
