Safety comes first
Meeting strangers should feel exciting, not risky. Here's how Hallo protects every conversation — and what you can do to protect yourself.
What Hallo does
- Adults only: age confirmation is required before anyone can match.
- Report ends the conversation instantly, prevents rematching, and queues the report for review. The reported person never learns who reported them.
- Block silently guarantees you'll never see that person again.
- Text messages pass safety checks; severe content is stopped before delivery.
- Sessions that collect reports or violations are automatically restricted.
- Nothing is recorded: no video, no audio, no message history.
What you can do
- Never share personal details — full name, address, workplace, socials, phone number.
- Don't send money or click unfamiliar links. Links here are deliberately unclickable.
- Trust your instincts: if something feels off, use Next, End, Block or Report without hesitation.
- If someone appears underage, report them right away — it's the highest-priority category we have.
If something serious happens
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report the conversation to us from the app or via the report abuse page so we can act on the account involved.
